So today is the day I leave for Italy. I’m super excited about this trip! I get to take two classes for school and spend a week before the program staying in Florence. I don’t know if it’s quite hit me yet that I’m leaving the country to go to a place I’ve always dreamed about going to. But, I definitely want to document this trip much better than the last two trips I’ve taken. So, this is my first post about this trip here. No one has to read it, and I don’t really care if you do. I’m sitting here waiting to go and this is just more of a way to keep me preoccupied as the minutes tick by (i’m mostly just waiting to go eat my last American meal for 5 weeks but shhhhh). I’ll be updating to the best of my ability throughout the day. I leave at 8 tonight from Atlanta (so many layovers ;-;) where I’ll be meeting up with one of the girls going on the trip as well. We’re both incredibly excited to be going!
The only thing i’m not looking forward to about this trip is the overnight flight. But I think I’m much better prepared for it than I was when I went to Portugal two summers ago (I nearly froze on the plane!!). Anyway, I can’t really think of anything else to add to this, so I’ll be signing off now. Caio and happy independence day from down here in the South!
